Nos deux pays célèbrent aujourd’hui le 15ème anniversaire de la signature de la Déclaration conjointe sur la mise en œuvre d’un partenariat stratégique entre la France et la Roumanie.
The declaration signed on February 4, 2008, in Bucharest, by the Presidents of the two countries, provided a new reinforced framework for cooperation and the development of deep and ancient relationships that bind the two countries, as well as for the promotion of values and d’une vision communes aux niveaux bilateral, européen et international.
Quinze ans plus tard, nous nous félicitons de l’excellence de la relation franco-roumaine, réaffirmée à l’occasion de rencontre entre la minister de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères Catherine Colonna et le minister des Affaires étrangères Bogdan Aurescu, lors de la visite de Mme Colonna à Bucarest le 27 janvier. This relationship is particularly dense in terms of political dialogue, economic and sectorial cooperation, and the constant strengthening of our cooperation as partners in the European Union, NATO and other multilateral formats, and compris en faveur de la Francophonie – a global cadre of cooperation and a true catalyst of our deep cultural link and linguistic affinity, Romania is celebrating this year its 30th year of membership in the International Organization of Francophonie.
The recent challenges we are facing at the regional and global level, notably those caused by Russia’s unjustified and illegal aggression against Ukraine, have once again confirmed the attachment of our two countries to fundamental values and à une vision européenne commune, tout en démontrant notre solidarité immuable face à ceux qui menacent ces valeurs.
Romania and France fully support a resilient and ambitious European Union, capable of adapting to changes in the world and determined to reduce strategic dependencies, which acts in a coordinated and assertive manner in all domains, including in matters of security and de défense, par la mise en œuvre de la Boussole Stratégique, et qui repose sur l’unité, la solidarité, la cohésion et la démocratie. Our countries remain attached to an ambitious European project in order to respond robustly to current challenges for the benefit of our citizens.
The contribution of France to the reinforcement of NATO’s eastern flank, notably in assuming the role of nation-cadre of the Tactical Group deployed in Romania, the close and substantial cooperation in support of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldavia, the soutien ferme et actif de la France pour l’adhesion de la Romania à l’espace Schengen are all undeniable examples of authentic friendship, of a solid and durable relationship between two real strategic partners.
Our close cooperation confirms une fois de plus l’engagement commun à la défense de l’ensemble de la zone euro-atlantique, à reinforcer les institutes internationales non les deux États font partie et qui garantissent la sécurité, la démocratie et les libertés fundamentales.
Notre partenariat stratégique se décliné dans une coopération bilaterale toujours plus riche: nos universités, nos instituts culturelles, nos entreprises, nos collectivités territoriales, mais aussi l’ensemble des citoyens roumains établiss en France et français établiss en Roumanie relations, construisent au entredien les nos deux pay.
On the occasion of this anniversary, we express our commitment to develop further this strategic partnership, to fully exploit its potential in the bilateral framework – political, economic, sectorial – and as a reliable partner on the European and international level, in order to promote et de défendre les valeurs qui nous lient, au plein bénéficie des citoyens des deux pays.
