Delhi University Round 1 Seats Admission Process Ends Today

Delhi University (DU) has extended the date and time of the first round of Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2022 to 22nd October. Applicants were previously given until October 21 to accept, but have now been given one more day. Now candidates can accept the seats by visiting the official website of DU — du.ac.in. Verification and approval of online applications by colleges – until 2 p.m. on October 23.

The deadline for online payment of the application fee has been extended to 17:00 on October 24. Candidates who have been allotted a seat in the CSAS-I round can ‘Accept Allotment’ through the dashboard. Henceforth, after receiving “approval from the college principal”, they can proceed to pay the fee to confirm their admission as per the university’s guidelines.

Candidates may note that they have to take admission whenever they are offered to participate in the subsequent rounds of CSAS. Only candidates who have secured admission in a particular round will be considered for promotion in the next round/s if applicable.

The window for ‘upgrade/reorder higher preference’ for CSAS second round will be available from 5:00 PM on 25 October to 4:59 PM on 27 October only in respect of those candidates who have secured admission and paid the fees. . “Other candidates who have not been allotted a seat in CSAS Round 1 will be considered for CSAS Round 2 subject to seat availability and allocation policy specified in CSAS.” – says the message.

This year, the university is admitting students on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores instead of Grade 12 scores. On September 12, the university released its CSAS admissions and distribution policy. Admission through CSAS is carried out in three stages — submission of the CSAS-2022 questionnaire, selection of programs and filling of preferences, allocation of places and enrollment. Admissions open for 79 UG programs in 67 colleges, departments and centers. The programs include 206 undergraduate course combinations.
