While many institutions have reopened in the capital and life is returning to normal life, Galeries Lafayette illuminates the City of Light itself in summer. From July 6 to August 31, all talents in fashion, art, design and food offer exciting experiences. Here’s a look ahead.

What would Paris be without its incredible cuisine, chic fashionistas, world-class exhibitions and breathtaking architecture? Following the exhibitions dedicated to Normandy in 2019 and the South East in 2020, Galeries Lafayette (Boulevard Hausman, Champs Elysees and Bagrenel) wanted to celebrate the wealth of metropolitan artisans in this long-awaited 2021 summer show. Let’s take a closer look at the various events happening at this important time.

Pop-ups, embroidery workshops and happy times

As soon as you arrive on the Boulevard de Ottoman, you will see photos taken by Thibaut Greve in partnership with the Paris Travel and Visitors Bureau and the Ile-de-France Regional Tourism Committee. They present the iconic places and scenes of life typical of the capital and its bright energy.

There will be many events and experiences. The ready-made clothing brand AMI has developed an exclusive exhibition under the centennial dome of the Galeries. Two pop-ups and several clothed windows will allow visitors to admire their chic everyday things from the capsule collection “AMI de Cœur”.

The Ateliers de Paris will also host creative events, and the Keur brand will host embroidery workshops.

There is also something to have fun on the roof. The CRU restaurant, located on the third floor of the Homme Galeries Lafayette store, will also open a new “gonget” type space where you can enjoy a drink at a happy time in partnership with La Cave (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.).

Entertainment for all ages

Disneyland® Paris will take over Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, creating its own magical and wonderful universe. Visitors will be immersed in this unique atmosphere and will be able to get acquainted with its stellar heroes.

Galeries Lafayette also offers customers the opportunity to win unforgettable experiences, including a visit to the Eiffel Tower or the Castle of Versailles, a helicopter flight over Paris and a cruise on the Seine.

On July 10 and 17, the Moulin Rouge, one of the main elements of Parisian parties, will shake up the Glass Space at the Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann with an individual set. It’s an opportunity to enjoy a snippet of their glamorous, legendary show, and to admire the gorgeous costumes made at the Moulin Rouge’s Maisons d’Art!

Food and handicrafts

As for shopping, you can buy a wide selection of goods and brands “Made in Paris” and “Designed in Paris”.

This is an opportunity to discover the French savoir-faire, which shapes the Parisian style. Brands include Jacquemus, Isabel Marant, Soeur Paris and Cadet Rousselle for fashion ready-made clothing, VEJA for footwear, APC for leather goods, Diptyque and Aime Skincare for home and beauty, Angelina and “Sous les Fraises” for delicacies. And so many others …

Of course, food will be celebrated. Pierre Herme, Jean-Paul Even, Pierre Marcallini and Daloya will offer exclusive works made for the event – and visitors will be able to enjoy a tasting in the store.

To celebrate the heart of Paris, there is no better place to be this summer than Galeries Lafayette!
