Farmers Bank & Trust will hold a Lamar County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and grand opening from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the newly opened space at 3000 Lamar Ave.
Following the ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m., a community lunch is planned with burgers and fries from Burgerland, beverages from HTeaO and desserts from Hole in the Wall and Cottage Farms.
According to Paris Market President Eric Roddy, Farmers is proud to honor first responders with a $2,500 cash raffle at the event. Prizes will also be raffled at the party, including an Ashley Furniture set ($3,000 value), an 86-inch LG 4K UHD TV ($1,300 value) and a Traeger Pro Series 34 pellet grill ($699 value).
The new building will provide a full cash register, accounts and credit services, travel and notary.
Additionally, the new location will feature the interactive MyFarmers iTeller with real-time teller services from 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday and 8am to 3pm on Saturday with 24-hour ATM service. The drive-through will also be open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon for added convenience.

In addition to Roddy, the new office’s leadership team includes Jeff Nutt, regional market president, and Tina Skidmore, Paris office manager.
“While customers continue to desire digital banking channels (online and mobile), the physical branch still plays a key role in this process.” This was announced by President and CEO Chris Gosnell. “Our new Paris branch will break the traditional mold and allow our team to build deeper relationships with clients.”
As part of Farmer’s tagline, “To us, you’re family,” the new location will also offer “Coffee with HEART,” free freshly brewed coffee for customers when they visit the bank, and a tech desk where customers can use free Wi-Fi, charge their devices, or work .
