Mme Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, State Secretary of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Commissioner for Development, Francophonie and International Partners, is in Côte d’Ivoire from 11 to 12 May. Celui-ci fait suite à la visite de Mme Catherine Colonna, minister de l’Europe et des affaires étrangères, December 11 and 12, 2022.

The Secretary of State will be received by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, M. Patrick Achi, and by the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Diaspora, Mme Kandia Mosquito. Together, they will tackle the grand dossiers of our partnership with Côte d’Ivoire as well as regional and international issues.

Following the speech of the President of the Republic on February 27, this trip will be an opportunity to highlight several priorities of the relationship between France and Côte d’Ivoire that are part of the renewal of our partnership Africa. In this perspective, the Secretary of State will take part in the inauguration of the Agora d’Abobo, an innovative sports complex that favors the access of young Ivorians and Ivorians to sport while serving as a framework for the development of social activities et économiques. She will also participate in the launch of the Vitropic project, whose objective is to valorise the agricultural potential of Côte d’Ivoire through a public-private partnership. Finally, she will sign two financing agreements, in the framework of the 3rd debt relief and development contract (C2D), with the aim of developing the offer of civic services in favor of youth and favoring the preservation and economic valorization of aires naturallles protégées de la Côte d’Ivoire.

La secrétaire d’État will participate par ailleurs au Premier Conseil d’administration de l’Académie Internationale de lutte contre le terrorisme (AILCT), qui sera presidé par M. Téné Birahima Ouattara, Ministry of State, Ministry of Defense Cote d’Ivoire. This event will be an opportunity to mark the commitment of Côte d’Ivoire and France, as well as the design of countries and organizations contributing to the development of the Academy and the emergence of a common culture. de lutte contre le terrorisme, ancrée dans une approche pluridisciplinaire, à la both militaire, juridique, policière et académique.
