A California-based manufacturer of electric vehicles It’s clear announced a new line of accessories for Air luxury EVincluding a new roof storage system and the brand’s first home charging station equipment.

Of course, every Lucid Air already comes with a mobile charging cable that can be mounted on a wall and serves as the electric sedan’s primary home charger. This cable supports charging up to 9.6 kilowatts when plugged into a 240 volt NEMA 14-50 wall outlet, adding about 40 mph when connected optimally. However, the Air supports AC charging up to 19.2kW Level 2, so this bundled charger leaves a bit of speed on the table.

The newly announced Lucid Connect home charging station boosts charging speeds to a full 19.2kW, adding up to 80mph of connectivity – provided your home electrical system can handle it – which is twice the speed of the included cable. . The compact, hard-wired station is supposed to be wall-mounted indoors or outdoors and uses the “smallest possible enclosure,” according to a Lucid release. The Business Gigabyte has a 24-foot charging cable that the automaker claims is thinner and lighter than competing home charging stations, despite delivering significantly more power.

The new hardware is bi-directional power compatible and can receive updates over Wi-Fi, opening up the possibility of integration with Lucid’s future ecosystem of car-to-home or car-to-grid power systems. The Lucid Connect Home Charging Station is available for order in limited quantities today for an MSRP of $1,200 before availability increases in 2023.

The aerodynamic Cargo Pod increases cargo volume by approximately 33%.

The slightly lower tech gear includes the rest of the Lucid Air EV accessory line. There are new Lucid Air Crossbars ($500) that add an aluminum rack to the EV’s roof that can hold up to 165 pounds of gear and is compatible with Yakima’s mounting system for bikes, kayaks and surfboards. The Lucid Air Cargo Capsule ($2,000) is an aerodynamic ABS roof box that adds about 11.5 cubic feet of Air roof capacity. The Capsule has the ability to open on both sides, providing access from both sides of the vehicle, as well as interior lighting. Finally, the Lucid Air All-Weather Mats ($250) are, well, chunky all-weather mats that protect the EV’s carpet from dirt and grime. They are sold in sets of three and come in four colors: ceramic, graphite, saddle or black.

Lucid Motors’ new Air line of accessories is available to order now, with first deliveries starting in Q4 2022, with the exception of the Cargo Capsule, which is due to arrive in early 2023.
