Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Council (TRB) has received more than 6.3 lakh applications for the Tamil Nadu Teacher Qualifying Exam – TNTET 2022. Although exam dates have not yet been announced, sources told News18.com Tamil that the exam will be held in late July. Authorities are waiting for school and college exams to be completed before conducting a qualifying exam.

To be eligible to teach in Tamil Nadu colleges, TN TET is a minimum qualification. Those who meet the requirements of TNTET 1 will be eligible to study in grades 1 to 5, and those who teach TNT 2 will be considered for teaching in grades 6 to 8.

The Teacher Qualification Notice (TET) 2022 was published in March. Applications for this were accepted from March 14 to April 26. During this period, more than 6.3 thousand people applied for the survey. To date, there has been no official information about the selection.

In both documents, 150 MCQs will be presented with one score each. There will be no negative evaluation for incorrect attempts. The qualifying score for TNTET will be valid for life.

Meanwhile, by July, CBSE will also publish a notice for the Central Teacher Fitness Test (CTET). CTET is held twice a year, and the notice, which will be published, will be for the exam to be held in July this year. The second session will take place in December. In 2021, CBSE held the first-ever online CTET, but on the first day of the exam, students faced technical glitches, many not even being able to finish the exam.

The CTET assessment is applicable to central government-run schools such as KVS, NVS, central Tibetan schools, and schools run by UTs Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and the National Capital Territory . Applicants may also apply to private schools without assistance who have decided to accept qualified CTET candidates.
