The National Assembly voted this Tuesday afternoon on a text demanding the inscription of the Russian paramilitary group Wagner, actué d’exacitions in Ukraine and Africa, on the list of the European Union of terrorist organizations.
“Il s’agit d’envoyer un message politique, symbolique, un signal de dénonciation de Wagner et de ses activités – qui ciblent délibérément des civilians pour avoir un gain politique – comme du terrorism”, fait valuir député Renaissance Benjamin Haddad, qui porte la proposition de resolution. The text was co-signed by the deputies of the different groups of the majority, but also by the elected officials from the ranks of socialists, ecologists and LR.
