The Slovene Primoz Roglic will contest the Tour d’Italie in 2023, and not the Tour de France, where his Danish teammate Jonas Vingegaard will defend his title, announced the Jumbo-Visma formation on Thursday during the team’s presentation in Amsterdam.

Primozh Roglich leaves for the Tour de France. After crashing on the Grande Boucle in 2021 and 2022, the Slovenian rider will not be present in 2023. In September last year, he had to abandon the Vuelta after crashing at the end of the race, on a course that he had won trois années de suite.

Evenepoel is also present on the Giro

Roglic has already competed in the Tour d’Italie twice, in 2016 and 2019, taking third place in his second participation and winning three stages in the passage.
