YouTube has a new sombre theme and an ambient mode that adapts the colors of the background to the cells of the video. You can also zoom in on a portion of the video and access a precise passage more easily.
Bonne nouvelle pour les utilisers de YouTube : pour fêter son 17ème anniversaire, le service opère des changes au niveau de l’interface et se dote de nouvelles fonctions. Ces changes vont être progressively deployed sur les applis mobiles, mais aussi sur la version web.
First of all, the interface now has an ambient mode. Ce mode uses un effet d’éclairage pour rendre les videos plus immersives. The system extracts soft colors from the video and applies them to the background. This mode is activated when you use the sombre theme. On the image on the right below, you can see it in action, for example at the level of the video title.
Then, the icons pour aimer, ne pas aimer, partager, télécharger et sauver sont plus petites et ont changé de place. This keeps them away from the video to avoid visual distractions. L’icône pour s’abonner (Subscribe) is now more visible, with a white background and a pill form instead of a simple red text.
Le thème sombre has been modified afin de le rendre encore plus noir, ce qui permet de mieux faire ressortir les couleurs, comme le montre l’image de droite ci dessous. This function will be deployed on the web and on mobile apps, but also on connected televisions.
Users of the YouTube app on iOS or Android can easily zoom in on videos using the classic pinch gesture with two fingers. Et la video restera sur la portion que vous avez grossie tant que vous n’effectuez pas la manœuvre inverse. Finally, the precise search function allows you to easily search for a specific moment in a video. All you have to do is click or touch the screen to apparaitre the progression bar, then mount the red point on the bar upwards. Cela fait apparaitre une série de vignettes que vous pouvez faire defiler vers la gauche ou vers la droite.
It becomes easy to spot a specific moment in the video and bring the vignette to the level of the red point to read the passage that interests you. This search system completes the other reading functions, such as long press to scroll the video and double touch with two fingers to skip chapters.
Les nouveaux changes seront disponibles progressively pour les utilisers dans les prochaines semaines. Soyez donc patients s’ils ne sont pas encore disponibles sur votre ordinateur ou sur votre appareil mobile.
