OmDayal Group of Institutions invests Rs 200 crore to develop education infrastructure in Bengal

OmDayal Group of Institutions, a prominent engineering and architecture institute in West Bengal, which has also introduced DPS schools across the state, plans to invest around Rs 200 crore in the development of educational infrastructure over the next five years by setting up more special new-age schools.

With artificial intelligence and the Metaverse being current topics of discussion and adoption across industries, the group aims to develop an educational infrastructure focused on these concepts to arm the youth with futuristic skills, according to a press statement issued by the company.

“Various tier-II and tier-III cities, including Asansol, Medinipur, Malda and Burdwan, are short of educational institutions across the state. OmDayal Group will set up schools and colleges in close proximity to these cities to provide quality education of international standards in and around Kolkata. We are already encouraging the use of artificial intelligence and the Metaverse to equip students with futuristic technologies. We are determined to further invest in the development of traditional education,” said Sanjiv Aggarwal, Director, OmDayal Group of Institutes.

The group has two DPS schools in Kolkata and Durgapur and one engineering college serving over 12,000 students. 1,000 crore investment in the state-of-the-art education space is also being discussed with many institutional investors.
