Le Crédit Agricole has signed an agreement with the French start-up Hopium, en commandant 10,000 berlines à hydrogene pour les proposer sous forme de financement à ses clients.
On the occasion of the closing of the Mondial de l’Automobile, Crédit Agricole and the French start-up Hopium reveal the signature of an unprecedented agreement on the commercialization of the hydrogen sedan Hopium Machina. Les deux sociétés, qui avaient chacune un stand sur le salon, ont signe un protocole d’accord pour la commande et la livraison de 10,000 berlines à hydrogène, que l’organisme de financementa proposera subsequently à ses clients.

C’est par le biais d’Agilauto, une des filiales du Crédit Agricole spécialisée dans la vente et le financement automobile, que seront provisés les Hopium Machina. Pour le moment, il s’agit encore d’un concept-car, et la production ne démarréra qu’à partir de 2025 en Normandie. L’accord entre les deux parties est donc prévisionel. Olivier Lombard, patron of Hopium, affirms qu’il s’agit d’un “signal fort qui réaffirme le rôle central de l’hydrogen dans la mobilité de demain”.
Pour le moment, on ne sait pas encore quelles seront les conditions de ces produits de financement du Crédit Agricole. Mais les taris potreint être salés puisque l’Hopium Machina serait commercialisée autour de 120,000 €…
